Water supply
“It is water ice, the same as the water ice on Earth,But the water on the Moon isn’t ready for astronaut's making cocktails yet.” —— Shuai Li researcher at the University of Hawaii’s Institute of Geophysics and Planetology.
The formation of the glass sphere is mainly caused by meteorites hitting the surface of the moon. When the meteorite hit the lunar surface, the high temperatures and pressures provided an opportunity for the meteorite to interact with the rock and soil on the lunar surface, causing some of the material to melt and form into a glassy material, a glass bead containing water. From the data, they estimate there is some 40,000 square kilometers (more than 24,000 miles) of water on the Moon.
In the future, the recyclability of water has become a problem worth thinking about. The main recyclability of water on the moon in the future lies in natural circulation, machine circulation, and Earth transportation. The natural cycle consists of the natural water resources formed by the continuous impact of meteorites on the moon, and the machine cycle is to collect and filter the used water for reuse, while transporting water resources from the Earth is also a possibility but the cost is high.In 2020, NASA is launching a new way to combine their research into machines that can extract water from the lunar surface and filter it into pure water that people can drink while storing the water in the machine. This is called Aqua Factorem. It proved that people could use the water that existed on the moon.
